How long until my order ships?
Most orders ship within 7 business days, via USPS. If your order contains Made-To-Order or Preorder items, those ship in 10-15 business days. I do not pack/ship orders on Saturday or Sunday. If your order will take longer to ship- I will contact you. Please remember, everything is made by hand, and processing your order takes time. Once your order is prepared for shipment, you will receive an email with tracking information. Please remember that it can take up to 72 hours for tracking information to show/update on the USPS website.
If you chose a faster shipping option, please remember that the faster timeline is for SHIPPING ONLY. My normal processing time always applies.
What is your return/cancellation policy?
I do not accept returns for sanitary reasons, therefore exchanges are not available.
Orders must be cancelled within one hour. You can email me at sweethydrangeasclay@gmail.com to cancel your order.
If the package is returned to sender, or needs to be re-shipped for any reason, the customer is responsible for reshipment fees.
Earrings are final sale. If your earrings arrive damaged, or break within one week of purchase we will replace them (depending on the style of earring) or refund you the price of the earrings. As tempting as it may be to bend your earrings to see the flexibility, PLEASE DON’T! Polymer clay is very strong, but not indestructible. Sweet Hydrangeas Mercantile does not offer refunds for any reason other than severe product defect. Please email me with details and pictures if you feel this is the case.
Lost Packages:
Once a package leaves my hands, I have no control over what happens to it. If your package is lost in the mail, or is marked "delivered" but you can't find it- please contact your local post office and file a claim with them.
Why should I buy polymer clay earrings?
Polymer clay, once baked and cured correctly, is extremely lightweight and flexible. You can wear large statement earrings, and not even feel them! Most pairs of my earrings weigh less than an ounce (total, both earrings). Also, polymer clay earrings are strong and durable, and won't lose their shape or color.
How do I care for my earrings?
Our polymer clay earrings are fade resistant and they should last for a long time with proper care.
Here are some tips:
- Avoid wearing the earrings when applying perfume, deodorant and hairspray.
- Remove your earrings when showering or going into the pool/water
- Avoid dropping your earrings as the small parts may break
- When not in use, store your polymer clay earrings in a container to avoid scratches
- While polymer clay earrings are strong, the thinner parts (for example, flowers or other details that extrude off the surface) can break if not handled with care. Rough handling may result in any part of the earring breaking, so be sure to always treat your earrings softly.
With prolonged use, make-up may stain the earrings and dust may be found on their surface. To clean polymer clay earrings, use a piece of moist soft fabric and wipe gently to remove dirt and dust from the earrings. You can also rub coconut oil onto the earring, let sit for a couple minutes then buff off with a soft cloth. They'll look brand new!
Brass pieces may oxidize over time. To clean off any oxidation (dark spots), use Brasso or vinegar and wipe with a cloth.
